SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Applications are now closed for the 2026 Jacob L. and Lewis Fox Foundation Scholarship. To apply, applicants must be a Hartford resident for at least their junior and senior years of high school.

Click HERE to read the Description and Basis of Awards and if you feel you qualify, proceed with the following steps:

    • Ask two teachers to write a Letter of Recommendation for you and to complete a Recommendation Form. The Recommendation Form includes a Criteria for Awards statement, and is available for download HERE.  Ask them to complete the Recommendation Form and their Letter of Recommendation and email them to the address on the form, or you may deliver them to your School Counselor no later than the application deadline of Friday, January 23, 2026.
    • Ask two adults (who are not teachers, relatives, or fellow students) to provide a Letter of Recommendation and to complete a Recommendation Form for you. Request that they complete the Recommendation Form and their Letter of Recommendation and email them to the address on the form, or you may deliver them to your School Counselor no later than the application deadline of January 23, 2026.
    • Ask your School Counselor to email a copy of your academic transcript to the Fox Foundation at applications@foxscholars.info. You may use the Transcript Request Form (which is available for download HERE) to assist your Counselor with this request. If you have access to your transcript, you may email it yourself to the Fox Foundation at applications@foxscholars.info.
    • Read the instructions carefully and use the same computer if you return periodically to your application until you are finished. The Fox Scholarship application software matches you with your computer’s IP address and may not allow you to continue your application where you left off if you use a different computer or device.
    • Complete all parts of the online Fox Scholarship Application to the best of your ability. Once completed, you may electronically sign and submit the online Fox Scholarship Application.
